In September 2023, Edik and Liana began a simple project in Uzhgorod. They wanted to bring together the refugees that they house in the hotel, for a regular meal. Five days a week (Monday – Friday) and for four months now, they have been providing a hot, three course meal to these people, many of whom have come to faith in Christ and are now actively involved in the life of the church. This project has been an outstanding success!

One of the great casualties of war is the fragmentation of community; yet in this project, through fellowshipping together regularly over a meal, community life is being restored. We are grateful to Newfrontiers, for funding this ministry from September – December 2023, but due to its tremendous success, we would love to see this project continue into 2024.
